DC powered fans operate from battery, or solar direct. Moves large volumes of air to vent home, greenhouse, or run a food dryer. Powered from a small solar module it starts and stops with the sun for greenhouse vents.  For 12 volt setup, use our Solar PV 20 watt panel for 16" fan blade model, or the Solar PV 10 watt module for 12" fan blade model. A linear current booster will improve operating hours when direct solar powered. 

At this time we are substituting the upgraded fan pictured at left for the same price for our 12" version, while supplies last. These upgraded fans are much more efficient and move almost as much air as the 16" economy fan.

SOLAR DIRECT ATTIC FAN

These 'whisper-quiet" solar-powered attic fans utilize an 11, 15, or 20 watt PV module to move up to 850, 1050, or 1250 cfm in full sun from your attic. The cover and base are paintable, molded, UV-stabilized, ABS plastic. The 5 bladed, 12" aluminum fan is pitched for maximum air flow and a stainless steel screen keeps critters out.

Each fan has a factory equipped thermal on-off switch. When attic temps exceed 80 degrees F, the fan turns on. When temps drop below 65 degrees F, it shuts off. If temps do not fall below 65 degrees overnight, the fan will start with the morning sun. The thermostat is simple to bypass in the field if desired.

The flat base of each model measures 24.5" x 24.5" and the overall fan height is 7". Each fan arrives fully assembled and typically installs in less than hour. The 850 cools as much as 1200 sqft; the 1050 cools as much as 1600 sqft; and the 1250 cools up to 2000 sqft.

PORTABLE 12v DC FREEDOM FAN

Built to the demanding standards of the Amish community, this rugged, plastic housed, fan with its 12" blade is quiet, powerful, and efficient. With two speeds, it draws as little as 1 amp at 12v on low and as much as 3 amps on high. We estimate 500 cfm on low and as much as 1500 cfm on high.

It has an Adjustable tilting base that can also be wall mounted. Our version ships with a 6' cord that has battery clips. We would recommend removing these clips and hard-wiring to your 12v system with a fuse in the (+) leg. Our DC Plug and DC Outlet would allow you to plug it in conveniently and safely around your home.

Remote Controlled DC CEILING FAN 12 or 24 volts   One Year Warranty

These ceiling fans have four blades, and come with either 40" diameter wood laminate blades and a bright brass housing, or white blades with white housing. The three speed reversible motor is operated by an infrared remote control and draws 1.2 amps on high speed; 0.75 amps on medium speed and 0.5 amps on low speed. These power draws are at 12 or 24v DC.

It is designed for surface mounting on a flat ceiling however a swivel pendant mount for pitched ceilings is available as an option. This mount includes a bright brass, 6" downrod extension. This 1/2" downrod can easily be replaced with conduit of your choice and length purchased locally.

Unlike last years Varifan, this model is 12 or 24 volts so you must specify your voltage. And at 12v, this new model has plenty of rpms without needing to add the voltage doubling, variable speed controller that was needed with the Varifan!

SUPER LOW POWER

These are 4-5/8 inch square, larger than usual computer cooling fans. Quiet brush-less motors use little power. These are great on a desk for personal cooling or near a woodstove to move heat. Rated 40 to 90 cfm. Current varies with model & voltage, 0.2 to 0.5 amps.
