The Fronius IG Plus Advanced was the first grid-tie inverter lineup to offer AFCI(arc fault) compliance. The models include a power range from 3 kW up to 11.4 kW.
The wide selection of models allows an owner to select a single inverter for any medium to larger system size. An integrated DC disconnect has connections for up to 6 strings of panels. An MPPT input voltage range of 230 to 500 volts DC allows for a variety of string configurations. Positive and negative grounding options are field programable; as well as the AC output voltage at 208 , 240, or 277 volts.
The connection area and power stages are installed separately from each other. The connection area is attached to the wall as normal. Then the power module is simply plugged in. The inverter is equipped with a basic logging function to monitor minimum and maximum data on a daily and a cumulative basis. An ethernet port and data card interface are available for external connections.
All of the IG PlusA inverters include internal AFCI(arc fault) and GFDI(ground fault) protection in accordance with current UL and NEC requirements. DC disconnect is also included. NEMA 3R rating makes the units suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.
